WHY is the original Dark Shadows movie STILL not on dvd?! Has it become forgotten or was it lost in some fire or maybe it's just that by today's standards it's too namby pamby? I thought it as mature as the better Lee Dracula films.

Obviously most 18 to 35'ers never heard of it or demand it on dvd and THAT age group is the most catered to by companies. Maybe it never came out because it didn't have a bloody group of high school/college kids as the stars!

I have both movies on VHS. House of Dark Shadows and Night of Dark Shadows.

I knew House of was the first but I never aw Night of shown on TV and assumed it was a much later movie, maybe the remake.

Well I can see House of is of little interest here so maybe that's why it's not on dvd....NO DEMAND and I thought there were a lot of old boomers here. I wish I had the Don Post mask based on House of's aged Barnabus.

My daughter and I love "Dark Shadows". I picked up both on VHS when they were available. I've heard that an official DVD release is being delayed to coincide with the new movie.
