OK, I know that if you're a fan of Fritz Lang's Metropolis this is old news. If you're one of the ones who have never seen this film now is the time. Scenes that have long been lost from this classic were found and have been restored to this cinematic treasure. The film wil be making the rounds in theatres this Summer. The BluRay/DVD release should be available by Christmas.

If you have denied yourself this gem because it's black and white and silent I strongly urge you to rethink your position. This is one of the few films to actually live up to the title of masterpiece. This film shows how powerful a medium movies can be and that you don't have to dumb down your material.

This will most likely only play in art houses so it's release will be limited. If it plays near you do yourself a favor and go see it.
